Earlier this year, Works in Progress teamed up with the Oxford Union to deliver three conversations between some of our favorite thinkers. The recordings are now available online.

The first conversation is between Stian Westlake and Dr. Rachel Laudan. Dr. Laudan is a historian who focuses on cuisine and the author of Cuisine and Empire. Watch the conversation below. Dr. Laudan’s previous piece for this magazine is available here.

The second conversation was between economist Dr. Tyler Cowen and entrepreneur Patrick Collison, both of whom have been tremendous supporters of this magazine. Unfortunately, that conversation was only available live.

The third conversation was between psychologist Dr. Stuart Ritchie and linguist and psychologist Dr. Steven Pinker. Dr. Ritchie wrote one of our favorite recent books, Science Fictions, and we await Dr Pinker’s forthcoming Rationality. Dr. Ritchie’s previous piece for this magazine is available here. Watch the conversation below.
